Why 1,575 haikus? Because my darlingest Annelies Marie Frank lived 15.75 years in this world.

Heart of Africa

Division once stood
to shatter thy native rest -
hear me, Rwanda!

Thou must now stand firm
at the heart of Africa -
one soul; one whole one!

Ne'er again
Ne'er again.
---<--@

Deny the spirit of War
a footing in thyself, O Beautiful Rwanda - forever!

Unity (the one peace that prospers).
Work (the labor of nations - building up the earth).
Patriotism (an indivisible love of Country).

All nations are endowed by God with just one heart -
one spirit to inspire her peoples, embracing their souls,
calling their generations forth from timelessness into time,
establishing upon their midst one rule, one abiding will of peace -
one undertaking of Country, one ascent, one lineage of victory;
one unity that shelters against the darkness and against War
binding all her sons and daughters together unto one soul,
from generation to generation to the last of her generations
so that they belong together: one love, one labor, one destiny.

Stand for thy own native peace;
serve and prosper thy peoples;
defend the life of thy one nation -
steadfastly, always, and with virtue.

Mabuhay, Rwanda!

Absolute

Why do many fail
to become what Truth there is
in the unseen life?

Sin is division:
knowledge of good and evil
God or godlessness.

Make your path
absolute.

Human Nation

Faith is a freedom -
a reaching out to the LORD
reaching out to us.

Religion is choice,
discerned freely in the faith,
of common worship.

Its fruits
make us human.
---<--@

Do not make a burden of religion -
separation of Church (Religion) and State, yes.

But do not make a fool of yourselves either -
separation of God and human reality, no.

Martin Burnhan

I remember thee,
Martin Burnham! You're a friend -
a friend forever.

In Christ, you have lived
and in your living, you gave -
and Now - we belong.

My nation
honors thee.

Vincible

What is expected
of those who are vincible,
unlike Thee, O LORD?

When my heart awakens
to the vincible in me,
I run to my God.

My LORD is
my refuge.

We Are Who We Are

Profess thankfulness
in your everyday, my friend,
we are who we are...

A people of peace,
the generations of life,
those nations of hope.

Think. Believe.
Pray: own it.
---<--@
It is no small and insignificant thing that adds up to become a great thing and there is nothing of greater importance to the life of a nation than peace.

Every little thing counts!

Be present for peace.

Humility

Be imperfect - yet -
desire perfection, seeking God
while you walk this earth...

Admit to your LORD
your poverty, and your need
then you will have hope.

God alone
is perfect.

If it isn't common to all, it isn't common sense.

Servant Leadership

Let's take the low road,
the safe and humble road - that -
ascends to our God.

Better a servant
in the Household of our LORD
than a prince of hell!

Be humble
and be glad!

Em

A human being
to be loved, must be loved
from eternity...

Past, present, future,
converge at the heart, and now
you're a young lady.

Walk always
in Beauty.

The Good Samaritan

There was once a man
who was set upon by thieves,
and was left to die...

But this man woke up
in the care of the caring,
and so he survived.

Does color
matter here?

AnnaSohpia

AnnaSophia,
there's no shortening her name,
our sister in Christ.

The hue of her eyes,
is the hue of her own sky;
the day in her soul.

God loves you,
dear Starshine.

Peers

We are common peers
in God's common creation,
shoulder to shoulder.

Reciprocity,
complementarity and
mutual respect.

From many,
one whole one.

Run to Father

One who is sincere
with his own humanity
approach God boldly -

Not for worthiness,
for he knows his nakedness,
but out of great need.

The humble
run to God.

Poverty

What is poverty,
is it need, or is it lack,
or is it weakness?

Remember the poor,
as a reflection of self,
to keep us humble.

For we are
all of these.

Fall

When I was young, I
thought like a child, expecting
perfection from men...

When I got older,
I realized from my falls,
our imperfection.

We err, but
God does not.
