Eating is a need.
It's the art of breaking bread;
an act of sharing.

So when we must eat,
we either do so to share,
or to keep our strength.

Temperance
is virtue.

The loaves and fishes
of our good Lord, overruns,
filling every lack...

In much the same way
is our sharing made joyful,
fulfilling our hopes.

God's grace
overruns.

Life is Hard

There's nothing easy

about this life - we all must -
climb the mountain path.

The one easy thing
is to quit the fight and fall
backwards, to the dust.

But we have
each other.

True Giving

The happy giver
gives as our LORD gives, and so -
multiplies the gift...

But he who gives not
with the gifts of a giver
only but subtracts.

True giving
IS the gift.

What we have received
is what God has been giving!
Where is God's giving?

Live to give,
give to live.

within the prison of self;
outside looking in?

We are through others
the completion of our lives;
giving to be free.
