Utak Wang-wang

Ang utak wang-wang
ay sadyang mapanlamang
at mapanlinlang...

'Kala mo kung sino,
humirit panay tunog -
sa kapwa'y mang-mang.

Ang kapal
ng mukha!

Patuloy

Patuloy tayo,
patuloy Pilipino
sa pagbabago!

Iwanan na at
iwaksi panlalamang
at pandaraya.

Mahalin
ang Bayan!

Magandang asal,
halimbawang maka-Diyos,

Ang ani'y

All Individuals

All individuals
no matter who, when, what...
everyone's a cat.

In my world, it is -
a place of no prejudice;
beauty is for all.

I'm a cat.
You're a cat.
---<--@

No cat is ever the same, ever.

Amy Jade

I only knew you -
through your death. A life cut
short by demon drugs.

Amy, if it means
anything to you, I feel you.
Godspeed, young artist.

To hell with
demon drugs.

Amy Jade Winehouse (19830914-20110723 peaceably recalled by God, of natural causes) singer, songwriter, artist - freedom fighter (addict soul) - Godspeed.

A drug user is first and foremost a victim of a drug abuser.

And if you trace this chain of victimization all the way up to its logical end, you'll find the ultimate abuser - the Adversary of God.

Pipoy

Pipoy, I miss you!
Once you played the bad guy role
and made me hate you.

And then, you became
the funny-looking, bald guy
and made me love you.

Thank you, sir.
Godspeed!

Larry "Pipoy" Silva (19371021-20040427 peaceably recalled by God, of natural causes) actor, comedian, public servant, Filipino - I miss you, Pipoy - thanks for the comedy - you made me feel old and you made me feel young - Godspeed!

Love of Purity

Love of purity
is the gain of chastity,
a freedom within.

Strength in modesty,
comes from a love deep within -
respecting others.

Chastity is this -
t'is a love, first and foremost,
a freedom within!

T'is a freedom - kind -
a return to innocence,
and right relations.

T'is a release - from -
the bondage of the body;
a joy in the soul.

T'is a release - sweet -
yet difficult, and God-filled;
severe is the test.

T'is a release - gained -
through prayer's battle, through faith,
by grace, and good effort.

T'is a release - from -
the horror of slavery
from sins to recoil.

It's fruits are sweetest
when love draws you the nearest
to God and heaven.

It is not prudish
sullen, awkward, or ugly.
It is beautiful.

Stripely

Grandma always said -
you are an angel from God.
And it's true, you are.

So be good, Leksi.
Remember what angels do,
they shine like the stars!

We miss you,
we love you!
---<--@
It's Leksi!

Erika Ching

When I think of you -
I think of what we've been through;
a wringer, it was!

I want you to know...
Erks, through it all - I love you.
I'm so proud of you.

Walk always
in Beauty.
---<--@

Beauty seem woeful and static when associated only with externals. Its meaning can never be confined to the merely physical.

For beauty is the virtue of those whose art is life.

Indeed, there is something true about the beautiful that escapes time and place...

So trust in God, Erika, and walk always in Beauty.

Eriza Albie

Sister, you're a star -
leading my soul overhead,
away from darkness.

I want to rise for
so long, I want to be free.
And you remind me -

I can choose
the best part.
---<--@
Albrechtita, sister dear, you're a brave soul.
And brave souls are those who save other souls
and even teach them to fly.

Thanks!

Heart of Gold

My buddy - you are -
one of a kind! Heart of gold!
Never forget that.

A helper in need;
a shoulder, an ear, a hand -
a blessing for souls!

This is you,
dear Thomas.
---<--@
Best of all, dude,
you're funny when being funny counts the most.

You're my friend forever - Thomas Rightly Perry!
I don't care about miles, or years.
This will always be true for me.

My Mission
- by Tom Perry

I am Thomas Rightly Perry -
lifter of heavy burdens
and hands which hang down.

I seek to strengthen feeble knees,
to cast out the spirit of fear
and invite that of power, love
and of a sound mind.

I seek to exalt the lowly
and abase the proud.

May my will be given to
the will of the Father
and may my life be
consecrated for God's work
and His glory always.

Sister Spain

To love all nations;
to make peace with the present,
one has to let go.

The rule of the past
when once we were thus, no more -
today we're fam'ly.

Mabuhay,
Sister Spain!
---<--@

Colonial mentality is oppressive exactly because it is forgetful of the past.

It might be easier to hold on to hate and from behind absolutisms hide from the truth that no nation is as entirely evil as the evil we create inside of ourselves.

But that is not the truth and therefore, has power to neither bless nor prosper us.

Hate, in and of itself alone, may only serve to enslave our wisdom against our wits, confound our strengths, and set us forever against our peace.

The revolution that gained for us this Republic was fought and won because of the virtues of our forbears - above all, love of each other as a common people.

Country for us was not gained because their times were dark and oppressive.

Lest we should become as evil-inspired as to build up the one Republic of our people and make her ready for destruction at the same time, we should always bear in mind and heart that our nationhood was ordained us not because of the evil of those times or of any time.

If we should like to let go of the pains of our colonial past, we should muster again the strength in ourselves to fully recognize who we really are as a nation and strive to see this Republic of ours re-integrated into the peace of the one family of the nations of Mankind.

Past is past, mabuhay!

Hidden Slavery

It is a disgrace
to the freedom of Mankind -
Human Trafficking!

Hidden slavery,
forsaken by our nations...
T'is like a cancer.

Let us vow
to end it.
---<--@

My Filipino compatriots -
Of the three most formidable things
that threaten the peace of our civil society*
- drugs, guns, and slavery -
the latter (primarily in the form of human trafficking)
is the one that worries me the most.

Because the first two are inanimate things
but the last one is not a thing...
