Love in Season

Thus,
I can not have
any more or any less love for you
than what I already have.

It seems that I have loved you
from always to always.

When love's in season
everything finds a reason
to come together.

When love's in season
hope is always in fashion;
patience bears its fruit.

So to love,
so to love!
---<--@

YOU ARE completely in love - when -
you can stand apart from your beloved and still say,
"I am complete", completely in love.

One who is in love is always in love.

So that -
one falls out of love
only to learn one never left,
always in love.

And this -
in greater and greater cycles
of depth and intensity.

'Tis only when the learning leaves
and the eagerness is allowed to wane
- when fear is made master of the heart -
and the child in ourselves is lost
that the lover is defeated
not when love departs.

Because love is for always!

Of such is a Christian heart,
never out of love,
always in love.

I am always in love, aren't you?

Outcasted

Pain is the soul of poetry.

I am outcasted!
A broken vessel, wretched -
a dream, discarded.

Wounded, avoided,
and everywhere rejected -
I am a leper!

No one knows
who I am.

Shattered Shield

No longer, the dread -
sun is tired and souls are bled...
the sacred has fled!

Earth, sea, sky are dead -
Spirit dwells so far away;
thou wept no more.

Thy vision
lay shattered!

Vision Quest

Son of mine,
the wilderness is within thyself!

So must you look
- no further -
until you have found
your own true self first.

The wilderness is within yourself
and across this forbidding expanse
of aridity and dark desolation,
you must reach out
with all your soul
and with all your love and might
that you may return again
- into yourself.

So be still, my son,
be surrounded by the Stillness
and in the quiet of thy heart - know.

The wilderness is within yourself
and so must you cease
from all thy useless wandering
until the God Who journeys to find thee
have completely arrived in thee -

that you may know where thou must go!

Walk Slowly

Walk slowly, my child -
this world is passing away...
be still and remain.

Hush, still thy spirit!
Enclose thyself in prayer...
in the Silence, rest.

Take my hand,
come, fear not!

You Texted Me

Last night around nine
I was sure not feeling fine
till you texted me.

You texted me - and -
your thoughts met mine, like sunshine!
...the night fell away.

So thank you -
I am fine.
---<--@

I appreciate you!

Repenting in Love

O how hard the fight
to live the right Christian life,
repenting in love!

Repenting in love...
striving not to lose my Way
by loving the LORD.

"Come", the Master calls,
"to a safe place in my Heart
where your heart may rest."

"Follow", Christ beckons,
"come leave thy past life behind
and all will be well."

"Seek", Jesus counsels,
"and in seeking, know the Truth
and experience Me."

"Love", the Master says,
"as I have always love you -
know, that you may Live."

"Serve", God commands it:
"Serve that you may know My Peace;
that I may know you."

Temptation rests not -
it sleeps not and it waits not,
when temptation rise...

Hush, listen!
God too speaks...
---<--@

Lesson Learned:

When temptation speaks, God too speaks.

These temptations can be loud like thunder, frightening like an earthquake, oppressive like the night, and tempestuous like the sea but God's voice is always still and small.

Every temptation is allowed by God for me to be able to respond to His still, small voice.

They are not blind and random.

It is oftentimes quite hard to discern the Holy Spirit especially in the midst of temptation but it is for certain that in the midst of every trial there is always an abundance of grace...

For even there, in the darkness and even in sin, God speaks to deliver us from evil.

With God in my heart, there can be no confusion. For in Christ everything both in heaven and on earth follows, each in their own order and purpose, and all things in my life fall into their proper places; nothing then is impossible with God.

A Friend Like You

With the season of Lent just around the corner, I am adopting a personal theme for myself this year - A Friend Like You.

My focus here will be on rediscovering and rejuvenating my own vertical relationship with my most loving Savior, Jesus Christ, and to successfully apply myself to my lesson learned.

I wish, my Jesus, to be
the friend that You see in me
to be constant, O Lord, to be true,
to be a friend, my God,
a Friend like You.

Green Haiku

Our vulnerability - as a nation -
to the ravages that will be unleashed
when the time comes for all human nations
to pay for the world's ecological debt
is scarier than you might think.

I breathe in the air
commuting to work today...
a truck belches smoke!

No one sheds a tear
walking the Bacoor bridge
over dead river...

Where ever
is our peace?
---<--@

The Question -

An angel asked me, "...and what do I love, O heart?" For I longed to know.

It led me to a shop and showed me a thing I desired for myself but could not yet afford. Something I knew I knew but did not really think about that much.

"I love all these things that you love, O heart, that leads you to be good", the angel said to me.

"I love all the good clothes that was made for you, I love the cell phone that you'd so wished for so much, oh and that laptop - I love that as well - for you, O heart."

"So how do you love me in return?"

The angel's question seem to echo from deep into my being for the lesson has now penetrated me indelibly right into my heart.

There was silence:

"You shall love the LORD thy God as one LORD alone".

"Make peace with the all of creation. Divide it not. Say peace to the river, to the sky, to the earth, to the animals (and the trees) of the earth and the fishes of the seas, to thy nations good will and to all thy fellow human beings, life and abundance. Do this if you love me."

Goodnight, Whitney

You were a beauty..
bursting with spirit and song,
thy star, now at rest.

Thy troubles, they came -
and turned thy light to sadness.
Another victim...

To hell with
demon drugs.
---<--@

Whitney Elizabeth Houston (19630809-20120211 peacably recalled by God, of human isolation, spiritual deprivation and related causes) singer, artist, mother, sister, friend - thank you for the music and the memories - via con Dios!

A drug user is first and foremost a victim of a drug abuser.

And if you trace this chain of victimization all the way up to its logical end, you'll find the ultimate abuser - the Adversary of God.
---<--@

Legalizing drugs is not the answer!

In all things concerning false addictions -
fostering strong and wholesome relationships are the cure.

The Daily Dose

O the daily dose -
that break from quiet repose;
disturbing and bleak!

I read your headlines
and today's troubles, they grow
larger and larger...

Too much news?
Better not...
---<--@

Reading the daily news these days is like eating junk food, you read too much of it and you get sick in the heart.

And the comments being posted on the various opinion boards on the Internet - they don't help! In fact, most of these are just plain vomit... (yuck!)

It is symptomatic of the present state of our world.

There is much food but not for eating, there is much water but not for drinking! These are the times we're living in...

If one doesn't know where to get real food and real drink, one will surely starve in the spirit.

No wonder the fascination with zombies and the undead. Perhaps deep within, that is what most people feel...

Hurt

You were the one... or
so I thought. I hang on...
like a fool, I hurt.

I hang on, I hope -
I'm thinking these thoughts of you.
I console myself...

I'd rather hurt than
to hurt you... you'll always be
appreciated.

I return
to my thoughts.

Flowers in the Garden

Appreciate the beauty in others,
that's why flowers grow in God's garden.

If one stands out to the eye of thy heart
- do not pick it -
do not ruin it with selfish desires
nor grip it too tightly with you mind.

Just be patient and gently let her grow.

Do this
knowing in your love that
if that flower is for you, O heart,
- God Himself -
will plant you next to each other.

Forward PA

No sword, no gun, nor
image of lions, dragons,
eagles emblazoned.

Thy seal is simple:
At thy heart, thy will defend -
thy love for thy love.

Forth, PA -
To vict'ry!
---<--@

In my opinion, this is the probably the best Army Seal I have seen so far:

It speaks only to those who know it - and -
is known only to those who love what it defends.

It doesn't have eagles or dragons or guns
- but i'll tell you what it does have -
it has a whole lot of spirit and heart!

It is everything this Nation's Army is all about.

From this heart of Army, everything Army begins -

Forward PA.

Soldier's Peace

Seek it in thy soul,
the home of thy ev'ry love -
the heart of the fight.

And stand with the true
upon the ground of Army
where all War perish -

Here, where guns lay still
and the lions find their peace,
is where thy sword rests.

There, where the
LORD defends!

Love Rises

The world forgets - in -
memories and photographs,
and old books forlorn.

Of faded lives - and -
tales too numerous to tell,
we are just as vague.

Like darkness fades
with the passing of the night
remembrance stays not.

Remembrance stays not -
till beheld as beautiful
with a heart of love.

Love rises,
truth remains.
---<--@

Unless you love history, unless you see it beyond the pages of books, its teachings shall remain closed to you.

History when seen through the eye of the heart looks much different than words on a page...

Words on pages eventually fade, but if through history you learn to love your own nationhood (and even those of others not unlike your own), its memory will preserve you.

Therefore, the goal of the study of history is for its story - in its entirety - to be welcomed and accepted more than for its exact details to be known; for its spirit to be deeply loved more than for it to be instantly recognized.

'Til War's End

Do you remember -
I knew not how to tell you...
How I long for life.

Thousand paper cranes
bear me up on wings of hope
that my life may live!

If dreams could come true,
I shall confide this in you -
peace on earth, my friend.

Peace, my friend -
'til War's end.
