Why 1,575 haikus? Because my darlingest Annelies Marie Frank lived 15.75 years in this world.

Tiara

All-American,
that's the crown that Sunbeams made,
that she gave to God.

May God bless her heart,
with colors bright, that her life,
may shine in His Light.

Forever
for Jesus.

This crown went in the way of charity...
as an offering to the Throne of the LORD
in Eternity.

Church Suffering

Knowing that their love
has yet to arrive when their
faith now rest in God...

The timeless souls - long -
for their burning thirst to end,
their hope they left - HERE.

Pray for the
Holy Souls!

The Call of Vocation

Respond to thy call,
be true to thyself, and then -
cast thyself away!

Launch into the deep!
Cast thy suns, O dear Christians,
let us live our Light!

Shine upon
the darkness.

Hear with courage...
Respond with generosity...
Embrace with charity...
Your Christian calling to serve...

Got Vocation? Everybody does.

The Fruitful Tree

Who shall bear good fruit
but trees that grow on good earth -
the soil of virtue?

Trees born of God's care
and fed by the Light of Truth -
by grace preserved.

Let us then
bear good fruit!

Between Sin and Grace

My steadfast Miyang,
ever so patient with me -
one time, wasn't here...

And so I feared much,
my heart can not stand absence
of the ones I love -

God stretched me,
to love more.

Sin is isolation.

Us

What of kin and kith,
of blood ties and friendship bonds,
in the Hereafter?

No words can describe
the company of heaven,
joy and fruition!

Never doubt
faith that binds.

One Love

Love without compare
all needful things, joyfully
with one Love alone...

Love is a longing
an awaiting for Itself -
peerless, absolute:

Love has but
one Standard.

But He knew what they were thinking and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and no town or house divided against itself will stand."

True Giving

The happy giver
gives as our LORD gives, and so -
multiplies the gift...

But he who gives not
with the gifts of a giver
only but subtracts.

True giving
IS the gift.

Love Your Family

Honor thy parents,
and listen to their counsel,
obeying the truth.

Love your family,
they are thy friends that God chose,
apart from thy kith.

Life begins
and ends here.

Family is Family is Family

Our close family ties is a peculiar strength of our Filipino national identity.

In our society, the extended family plays an indispensable role in the raising of the generations.

The fact that we have grown presently accustomed to calling total strangers "ate" or "kuya" (a recent social adaptation) is a manifestation of this familial bent in the Filipino soul.

Truly, we are a nation passionate for identity, belonging, and most of all, family.

It is a strength we also share with our kindred nations, arrayed within our regional belongings (Asia South East), as well as with those others, equally beloved to all, that comprise our one, great continental belonging (Asia).

Now, notice that our characteristic close family ties is a strength and not a weakness.

BUT it is an intended strength because it is one that we must ever always choose to align harmoniously with the other wholes of human community -

from the individual
- being the person for whom -
the familial whole exists to shelter
and whose unique and unrepeatable spirit
the presence of the family serves to
fortify, guard and fulfill -

to the nations
that exist (for each other) as greater shelters
serving to bring various families
and diverse tribes together
in the spirit and peace
of one, single human community,
binding all into one freedom
- one lineage of victory -
making possible the building
of the inhabited earth.

- selah -

Indeed,
the family is the window
from which one learns about
the value of human relationships
- both vertical and horizontal -
and the singular doorway
that eventually permits all to enter
into the larger, nobler wholes
of human community.

The Good Samaritan

There was once a man
who was set upon by thieves,
and was left to die...

But this man woke up
in the care of the caring,
and so he survived.

Does color
matter here?

Giving

The loaves and fishes
of our good Lord, overruns,
filling every lack...

In much the same way
our sharing is made joyful,
fulfilling our hopes.

The giving
is the gift.

AnnaSohpia

AnnaSophia,
there's no shortening her name,
our sister in Christ.

The hue of her eyes,
is the hue of her own sky;
the day in her soul.

God loves you,
dear Starshine.

Speak

When you speak, take heed,
do not curse others with lies,
and beguile the weak.

Do not sunder truth,
and mislead the wayfarer,
with a serpent's tongue.

Be sincere,
speak thy truth.

Truth

What is truth, Starshine?
Is truth a bond or is it...
a sweet, sweet release?

The truth sets free by
holding the soul captive in
the Heart in the heart.

Truth is love.
Love is truth.

Refugee, Mine

Whose eyes are these, LORD?
That I may never forget
our great need for Thee.

Whose hopes are these, LORD?
Are they not mine own as well?
O God, please help us.

Love the least -
Love the LORD.
